Welcome! Welcome!


This blog is still under construction. I have never created a blog- so it's taking me a little longer than I thought to complete.  My goal is to have it up and running when we start our Challenge next Wednesday May 20th.   I need my techy husband to help me with a few things, but the rules and main points to our health and fitness challenge are linked in the side bar under pages.

Little background on the challenge.  My husband Jake, sister Jen, and I did this health and fitness challenge a few weeks ago with members in our ward and really loved it!  We wanted to continue working on these habits so we thought we would go for a round two and invite our family and friends.  Feel free to pass it a long to your family and friends as well.  The bigger the support group the better.

A few of our favorite aspects to the challenge:

  • Accountability: part of this challenge is reporting (points/weight loss, gain or maintenance) every week and then once reported the results  will be posted on this blog for everybody else to see.  This seemed to keep us motivated!
  • It helps create good habits in both the physical and spiritual areas of our lives
  • This is completely a balanced diet- not a fad.  Something I personally feel like I should be doing anyways. 
  • A little competition is always fun and motivating as well.  All the money goes into a pot and divided among the winners (break down in the rules).
I plan to make a Facebook page as well where we can share successes, cheer each other on, as well as share good recipes, tips, exercises etc.
